Where are you right now? I'm trying to figure out when we can come back from Austin
290 inbound is still underwater. That much I know. Sorry, man.
Ditto this. I have a house south of 43rd and east of Ella. Any info would be appreciated.MAS444 said:
Curious about flooding in general in garden oaks area? Any water in homes?
That's correct. I'm on LaMonte, and it's rain all day with no breaks, and while I think we got 7" of rain today, it's been getting lighter all day.BowSowy said:
I assume the rain is still steady but light?

Can this be Cottage Grove as well? I moved out of state and have my house sitting there empty...closing on it in 3 weeks. Haven't been able to get many updates on conditions.
Absolutely.
If you give me an address, I'll try to check on it tomorrow.
Not legal to drive at the moment.
Please remind me as well via PM.

I'm a realtor, I can access it if you need.
Pretty sure you have that backwards - I think it's 95% HAVE power. 95% of Houston without power would be one hell of an outageThe Catfish said:
How'd the GOOF do last night? News this morning saying 95%+ of Houston without power now. Did that hit the hood?
I did - just deleted it.BowSowy said:Pretty sure you have that backwards - I think it's 95% HAVE power. 95% of Houston without power would be one hell of an outageThe Catfish said:

Thanks to you and CDUB for the offers...my realtor made it home late last night and is checking properties today.E said:
Ok, I'll see if I can access that area tomorrow. I know parts of Ella/TC Jester streets have flooded but should be recededby then. Looks like you aren't in the 100 yr floodplane for that area too.

Would it even be possible to get from GOOF to DFW today?

Gardenia and Glebe here. Water up to door 3x but still dry. We've seen some crazy things being on the corner. From the storm as well as people.

Sounds like the hood has made out OK so far. I would think the bayou would have to take a significant turn in the wrong direction at this point for any 500 year type flood - is that accurate?
Are you on the 'hood Facebook page?
I saw a pic of a sinkhole in at the top of hte bayou wall near 43rd earlier today. If that goes, God help all of us between Rosslyn/34th/43rd.
