Wanted to share this from my mom after she spoke with my sister a few minutes ago after she was evacuated in your area. Thank you to any of you on this board who are out there helping:

Melissa said Border Patrol showed up at her front door in a boat & said go now as the the Barker Dam is going to bring 2-3 ft more water into your house. If you don't go now FEMA is going to make you! They waited while they scrambled for last minute stuff to add to already packed bags & they boated to Mason & 99. At staging area they gave them donuts & pizza and drinks then a couple of Marines drove them to friends. They saw LAPD, LA firefighters, Louisiana Navy, etc all helping. They are all together, friends have 2 kids same ages. Their 3 vehicles are probably useless. The volunteers even gave the kids rain jackets and blankets. I am still crying but so grateful.

Her neighborhood is at Mason and Fry on the north side. She's a block or so in from Barker reservoir. Started taking on quite a bit of water overnight.

If you are in a neighborhood on the backside of A D D I C K S or Barker and care to find out your elevation, I was just informed of this website.

Look up an elevation by address

I know there is likely no certain answer, but is 108.91 elevation safe if located on Brittmoore Park Dr north of Tanner (northeast of top of addicks reservoir)?

I looked up your location of the flood map. You're very close to the birm and near the 108 ft colored area. They're saying the level will go higher than 108.

I would call the hcfcd if I were you and get ready to leave if necessary. HCFCD phone 713-684-4000

Thanks for the information. We are not there thank God.

My parents live in Fleetwood (6 and Memorial) and I got them out mid-day today.. The eastern part of Fleetwood apparently was rescued by boat and National Guard today.

I just went to look at addicks resevior in person. I was right by Sherwood elementary on the east side near brittmoor and west view. I took some photos of the resevior and turkey creek there but I don't know how to upload them to post on here.

The water appeared to me and another neighbor to be about 20-30 feet below the top of the levee. That guy said he was there yesterday and the water had come up considerably since then.

My thought is that the water will not top the levee on the east side since it's already spilling over on the west side near barker-cypress. Are we relatively ok on the east side of Addicks?

Rumors that Barker has been breeched. Let's hope not.

Looks like USGS may have gotten a new gauge up for Barker. Their website says 101.42 ft as of 4:15 PM. Expected to rise almost 3 feet from where it is.

I'm giving the definition of breached so people can start using it consistently. Barker has not been breached.

It's not going to go over the top, but around the side at Tanner road to the North. Over the top, or a breach, would be synonymous with a tsunami.

I'm surprised we have not seen the footage from tanner road. Would like to see the spillover and how/if its effecting the area there.

I thought Linder said it would result in 2-3 ft of water in areas south of Tanner, west of BW8, south to I10.

Yeah but if it continues to rise, it could deepen with increased flow putting pressure on the edge of the dam. I doubt it would be super exciting but there hasn't even been a photo.

Finally someone not talking about a "breach" and showing the actual spillover.

At 111' water will start running around the West end of the Addicks' dam in addition to the North end.

khou says uncontrolled release is happening right now and 106 feet is the red line.
105ish and water runs around both ends of the dam/levee in addition to topping the spillway.
