This. I drove around with a DPS trooper this afternoon and found some routes through town. 45 is closed as it enters downtown due to low lying underpasses still holding water. I10 was open, but several on/off ramps are not passable. Google Maps is pretty up to date with current road closures.FHKChE07 said:
If you can get south down close, we will get you home. That shouldn't be too much of a problem. Although, right now it might be a little circuitous.

What's the best way to get from DFW---> Houston right now? Is it even possible?
To all, Thank you so much for the offers, I truly appreciate it. I'm getting on a plane to dfw in45 minutes and I've been told ill still have a car at the rental agency. Now I need to figure out how to get to Friendswood.
I45 South to Hwy 21 in Madisonville (or I45 to Hwy 30 in Huntsville), take either 21 or 30 over to Hwy 6.third coast.. said:tandy miller said:

I can't believe 6 is open that far. I thought it was closed in multiple stretches.

I just drove woodlands to Dallas.
So you can cruise 45 south al the way to woodlands. No problems. First high water is at san Jac bridge but it didn't hit the mainlanes.
Now once you get to the woodlands. Go west somehow. It's drier that way.
