Latest model shows about same: Should start turning back toward coast in next few hours, come close to coast by late Monday (may or may not touch Gulf) and then had north and be west of Houston on Wednesday, and around Waco by Friday.

Rain fcst same: 3-6 inches per day through Tuesday. Locally 8-10 inches of rainfall could fall in a day. Rainfall totals through the middle of next week could approach to surpass 20 inches.

I'm close to bayou as well. Gauge has it dropping about a foot an hour with this lull in rain. Radar still has us between the bands so hoping it continues to drop for a while.

I don't think this is going to be as severe as people are thinking. This thing was supposed to continue pounding Houston today, and it's not really doing much of anything for a lot of the town.

Still projecting double digit rains in most of the Houston area and more rain further west and north west as this thing moves out, that water has to flow downstream still. It's looking better and the relief today is giving the bayous a good break.

We are 4 blocks south of Bellaire ITL off Newcastle. House was built in 87 before they made you build up.

This the new disaster for houston plan? It has hardly rained. Maybe we get enough for memorial to flood, which definitely isn't fun, but hardly worth all the manufactured hysteria over multiple landfalls and 30" of rain.

They're forecasting the Brazos River in Richmond to potentially top the Memorial Day flood levels. Thankfully, it's been incredibly quiet in Sugar Land today.
