How long do you want to ignore this user?
Was there ever an answer to why they got into the game earlier than everyone else?

Players family, weren't they?

No, there were many more than just family. It was stated that the whole Houston Husker Club got in early and sat in the student section before they let anyone else in

I didn't realize it was the whole club.

It was definitely the whole club. What they said to get inside in their entirety, I don't know, but at least it did away with the early admission of family, etc.
Because of it, the gates are open to everyone 90 before first pitch, every game.

So it did lead to policy change?

Yep. Doors will always open 90 minutes early. No more opportunities for families of players to get in before anyone else.
Our arguing point to those in charge was that that unfair advantage went against the meaning of "general admission".
If they want to let the families in early, put them in a designated section.

I think it would be better to have a reserved section for the family of players, having them in general admission up with the students is asking for trouble. They can be bad seats, heck put them in the right field bleachers, but I don't like putting them up in the student section.

Just my .02 cents.
