Another thread discussing Old Style (the poster and the beer) got me to thinking, what is the worst beer I have ever consumed.
I have had beers from all around the world, enjoyed kolsch in Cologne, Paulander in Munich, Budvar in the Czech Republic, Guiness in Ireland, Dos Equis in Mexico, Full Sail Ale in Hood River, Oregon, Shiner in Shiner, and Pearl in San Antone, just to name a few. I have loved most of them, but my top five worst beers are:
5. Budweiser (regular Bud is not pleasant)
4. Milwaukee's Best (the "Beast" was a staple in high school, but not good beer)
3. Stroh's and/or Stroh's Light(nasty, nasty stuff).
2. Old Style (sorry to my upper midwest friends).
And the worst beer ever consumed by me...
1. Olympia Dry.
Who would have thought they could produce something to make plain ol'Olympia Beer taste good? The Dry phase was not a good one in general, but Olympia Dry was the worst....by far. After a Bonfire cut, when your mouth is dry and full of dirt, there is nothing better in the world than a cold beer, but the taste of Olympia Dry kept me from even consuming beer after one cut, and it was even ice cold.
For all of you internet policemen who want to question the presence of a beer thread on the Baseball forum, if you do not appreciate the connection of beer and baseball then you are not a true baseball fan.
