Sophomore right-hander Austin Creps will make his third straight Tuesday start for the Aggies. In three appearances this year, Creps is 2-0 with an ERA of 1.80. In 15 innings of work, he has allowed five hits, struck out seven hitters and walked just one.

The starting pitcher for Lamar has yet to be determined.

creps is a solid tuesday starter, but his real game will come against rice, if he starts. not to take anything away from him, but i just think his #'s would not be as good if he were to face some tough hitters.

time will tell

Lamar is no slouch. but maybe that's just me trying to make myself feel better, since the team needs a little pick-me-up

he is a very solid Tuesday starter and that's why he's getting another go-round this week....Got to win the weekday games to fill out the win column

I saw Creps pitch all summer in the Texas Collegiate League against very talented hitters...He and his stuff are legit.

do yall remember what happened against OU last year,...the inning that creps had is still stuck in my head. hopefully he has improved, so that we wont see the same performance against rice.

Actually, Creps has the stuff to be one of the best pitchers on the staff. If he can put it together he could really help us out; And Lord knows we need it.

I'd trade Creps playing like last season if we could have Boggs/Mavroulis/Infante playing like last season too.

I thought that Creps had a great season last year, especially for a fish....He only had that one bad outing last year against OU (and even that happens to everybody every now and then)....take that one appearance out and his ERA drops from a 4.00 to a 2.33 on the season....

(scroll down to the individual player game-logs)

as for this year he's faced UofH, UCLA & TxState....and now he's facing Lamar. None of which are powerhouses but someone has to pitch to 'em

Austin has "figured it out". I'm expecting great things from him the rest of the season.

bottomline...good thing he is a sinker ball pitcher. The wind is blowing out to left field at 20mph. With gusts up to 30mph.
