Why the Thursday games?? What gives? Weather concerns?

tech at tu should be interesting, sips need a sweep.

We need to win at least 2 of 3 from the Okies. 3-3 with two tough road trips out of the way would be okay, but I prefer 4-2.

Easter is Sunday. suprised Baylor is playing Sunday, but I guess it is a road series.

Playing on Thursday prevents having to play on Easter Sunday!

Okay, so I'm a heathen and I forgot...

I know it's certainly not a Big XII game but I thought I'd throw a heads-up about the Long Beach v. CSF game tonight.

All-Americans and Team USA teammates, Cesar Ramos & Ricky Romero are going head-to-head for their respective schools.

Last week Ramos took on another A.A. and Team USA guy Mike Pelfry beating him in a INCREDIBLE pitching duel.

I'm going to go ahead and predict a 3-0 sweep for the longhorns this weekend.

wonder what happens if the horns only take 2? I think they will win all 3, but I wonder how that would resound to the rest of the B12...

t.u. started '02 season 2-4 in conference play after opening series against Baylor and tech. The poor start didn't keep them from winning the Big XII or a National Championship.

I assume that Okie State did not want to change the normal pattern of Fri/Sat/Sun.

Texas leads Texas Tech 1-0, top 2.

Texas has put up 3 runs in the bottom of the second. They lead 4-0, Tech just brought in Gattis for Carnline. Still bottom of the second, 1 out, Texas has runners on the corners.

Not surprised to see Carnline gone. I thought his success last week had more to do with the Ags having a lot of bad at bats than Carnline dominating.

Horns put up 3 more in the 3rd. Texas leads 7-0, top 4.

Tech finally gets a run. Texas leads 7-1, top 5.

Raiders get out of a bases loaded, no outs situation. Still 7-1, top 6.

7-2, top 7.

What time do the Ags play today?

First game at 4:00. Playing a double header in attempt to beat predict bad weather for tommorrow.

Yeah, they are. They are hitting the ball really well and Tech is not helping themselves out either. They had 2 errors (maybe 3 depending on who's scoring) in the first 3 innings. One kept the Horns alive in the third which led to a 2 out 3-run rally.

Tech scores 2 in the top of the 6th. Texas 7-2 going into the bottom of the 6th.

Tech just hit a 2-out grand slam. 8-7 Texas, top 7.

UT leads 8-7 going into the top of the 9th. We have left the bases loaded 3 times today.

A&M loses Game 2. 2-0. A&M with 3 hits. OU threw a complete game shutout.

Tried to see if McCullough could go 7 today, obviously he could only go 6 2/3. Thank goodness for Cody and Cox.

I couldn't go to the game because of work, but I listened to it, and it sounded like McCulloch did pretty well for the most part. Through 5 innings, he only gave up 2 hits, and 0 runs. I felt like he should have come out after the 5th inning because it seemed like he was starting to lose his stuff. He wasn't throwing a lot of strikes. But I guess they were trying to conserve the pen and give McCulloch some extra innings since Texas was ahead 7-0 after 5 and it didn't look like Tech was coming back.

Then 2 runs on 2 hits in the 6th should have caused Augie and Holliday to pull the trigger on McCulloch, but they insisted on leaving him in, and he gave up a run and 3 straight hits in the 7th before Stewart came in and got shelled for the grand slam. Just poor management of the pitching staff, IMO.

Texas also left the bases loaded 3 times. They've been so good at hitting in clutch situations this season, but suddenly they can't a get runner home from 3rd base with no outs.
