Here's what we've got for the next couple of days...

TUESDAY, MARCH 8

3:00 - Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Oklahoma
4:00 - Arkansas at Oklahoma State
6:00 - Northwestern State at Baylor
7:00 - UT-Arlington at Texas A&M
7:00 - tech at TCU

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9

3:00 - Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Oklahoma
4:00 - Illinois State at Missouri
6:15 - Rice at Texas

No mid-week game: Kansas State, Nebraska and Kansas

My thoughts:

** Oklahoma State is finally playing a formidable opponent. It's about time.

** tech is finally playing a formidable opponent. It's about time.

** What is up with the 6:15 start time in Austin? Seriously, who starts games at a quarter past the hour? That strikes me as very strange.

** Missouri continues their string of worthless non-conference opponents.

** Baylor and Texas A&M host Southland Conference teams. Both will be tested, but both should win...I hope.

Tech has already played (and beaten) TCU this season.

tech has also played 9 games against directional schools (3 each vs. Northern Illinois, Western Illinois and Northern Iowa). They have also played in a tournament with UTSA, Lamar and New Mexico State. Through 16 games, tech has played one (1) decent team (TCU), two (1) pretty good teams (UT-Arlington and Dallas Baptist) and 13 awful teams.

I'd say Lamar is at least as good as UTA and DBU. This schedule hasn't been the strongest but considering what we lost in the draft it was the best strategy. Now we get to see just how good Tech is this week.

Luke:

I'm a Horn baseball fan and come on here just you do such a thorough job on college baseball...not just A&M. No UT site does as good a job.

Thanks for all your efforts.

No sweat...glad to do it.

I think tech is employing the Billy Clyde Gillispie theory on scheduling this year.

If TCU plays like they're capable of they should beat tech tonight (the last game vs. tech was the worst they've played all season and it was still a close game most of the way through).

Razorbacks improve to 13-1 on the season. Two of Arkansas's wins came over UTA in Arlington as the Hogs swept both meetings at the UTA tournament.
