LSU is struggling this week. They already lost this week to Centenary 6-1 with their lone run being unearned. Centenary is a small liberal arts school of like 900 people.

FYI - yesterday's Rice-Notre Dame game in Round Rock was cancelled due to rain and will not be made up.

Yeah, the same Centenary that beat us in hoops not too long ago.

Local gumbo recipe, mostly.

A lot of the players on the rosters of the smaller Louisiana schools competed against one another, and guys on our roster, in high school.

Add to the fact that LSU is the single large university in the state, and that makes it real easy for a UNO or McNeese to get up for a single weekday game, especially with a short travel.

There have been numerous times I've seen LSU, in the Skip Bertman years especially, come back from a conference road trip sweep, only to face Southeastern or Louisiana College at home on a Tuesday evening, and those guys come in fired up and ready to play. Centenary was a surprise, though. The last time they beat us in baseball was in the '50s.

BTW, we get Tulane tomorrow night.
That should be fun.

Beat the hell out of them, please. I am so sick of Will Kimmey continually kissing their asses. They have a good team and great pitchers, but they are not as far above everyone else in college baseball as he seems to think.
