I don't follow softball closely, nor Texas Tech. But I've seen two instances this post-season in which an opposing team gets sideways with Tech in the post game handshake. I saw it when Tech played, I believe, Alabama (though I'm not sure that's right) and then again this weekend when they played Tennessee.

In both cases, it seemed to stem from a Tech player having transferred from the other school during the off-season. Evidently Tech is accused of tampering.

Can someone who follows this stuff closely fill in the blanks? I find it interesting but would like to know more.

Tech played FLORIDA and it got real chippy. Tech has a player who transferred from Florida. Tech play Alabama last night. Tennessee play tu last night not TECH.

Okay thanks for clarifying. It was Florida that got chippy in the postgame due to a Tech player who transferred from Florida. But over the weekend the same sort of thing happened with a Tech player who transferred from Tennessee.

Makes it seem as though there is a pattern of tampering by Tech this past summer. Would not surprise me, but wondering if folks here can confirm that.

You are correct, both were high level players at their previous school, accusations of tampering by Tech. Mia Williams is the former Florida player. Taylor Pannell is the former Tennessee player. Also applies for Jazzy Burns from Ohio State and Kaitlyn Terry from UCLA. Loaded group of transfers to Tech, all last offseason.

That's old...but still gives you the gist.
