SF off to a bad start and some think the college coach isn't a great MLB coach.
He might be looking to exit.

Problem is, you can't just contact an elite coach or two and not have it get out (like last offseason). If we're serious about it, we need to let Earley go before proceeding.

Two problems.
1. We're not serious about winning
2. Tony Vitello isn't coming here

The MLB and NCAA calendar doesn't line up well for us to think we can land Vitello. He's literally in his third month at his new job…would he really have left a Tennessee program that he had built into a juggernaut just to turn around and quit 3 months into his new gig?

Love the Aggie ego and how relevant Ags think we are. Which top end coach have we poached from what school in the past? Last I checked were the school it happens too.
It's almost like he was hired to clean up the Jimbo debacleTMartin said:
The missing piece in this conversation is Trev Kendall Alberts, who has already told one championship-level baseball coach to get the hell out of College Station. In my opinion, Trev is a caretaker, not a builder. Earley gets an extension, and the team's performance regresses next year.

Tony V is a jerk. We need somebody better than that.

I'm amazed at how fans don't realize how much nil and school priorities make a difference in the performance on the field. The athletic department is trying to throw big money at every sports because that is how you get a better team now. Just hiring a different coach only will not guarantee success. Non of us know how money Earley has to spend on better talent. To say we need better pitching and better hitting and better fielding without giving him way more funds is stupid.
We are throwing more money at girls soccer to try to improve it.
We are trying to throw more money at wbb to improve it. We might need a new coach too which would cost money.
Now fans think we should hire a new softball coach which would require more money for the coach and more money for better players.
There is a limit on the amount of money we have.
Changing coaches is only a part of the problem when a team in under performing.

I guess our new offseason tradition is begging Tony V to coach here
