Why are there not separate boards for softball and baseball?

Softball alone doesn't generate enough traffic to warrant its own is my guess.
They are in regional play and they only have one thread for the whole regional to cover all the games rather than having individual game threads and it's only 9 pages long right now

However there are some boards that haven't been posted on for 5 days to over a month; maybe it would get more traffic if it were separated from baseball bc the baseball board is so active.

I agree they should be separate. This topic comes up every few months, so get prepared to be pounded by the establishment saying change isn't possible…or potentially even discriminatory toward softball.

Well WBB was a big deal when Simmie Colson was there (when his daughter Sydney was playing here). It's fallen off but back in the day it was a good board with tons of discussion.

Maybe they should have a women's big 3 forum? At times all 3 have been more popular than the others, but all in one forum might generate more discussion. Mixing with the men's sports makes it more likely for the less popular women's sports related posts to quickly fall off page 1.

I've never understood the MBB hate from baseball dorks. The sport brings in significantly more than this one to the athletic department, and that's despite sucking for the majority of its history.

Take out SEC Country that hasnt been used in a month and that thread was called "nobody has posted on this forum in 1 month..."! You go to the bottom of that forum page and there's threads with last posts from 2 years ago

Orrrrrr, it increases visibility and viewership to subsidize a sport that would otherwise have low traffic. Not too dissimilar from football literally paying the bills for everything else at TAMU and TexAgs alike.
And I say this an someone that regularly watches and posts on the game threads... not everything has to be a discrimination issue. I don't think you really want the non-revenue sports to get what they "deserve."

I'd like to say it's because staff is too busy trying to fix all these ****ty ads that ruin the experience than to add and remove specific boards, but one bad ad goes away, here comes another that takes up the whole screen and stops you from scrolling back up.

They could literally rename SEC Country, not delete anything from it, and you'd have no idea it was ever anything else unless you went back to the oldest threads

Does it matter??? Discriminating against both…might as well have a trans-male competing with the women softball like they do in California for track and swimming. No different making the women compete against the men for press than competing on the field.

Looking at the softball threads on this board, I have no doubt that softball can now carry its own board, and I think it should.
TexAgs could remove probably 50% of their boards without affecting anyone (hello Five Star General). That doesn't mean that they can't use one more: Softball

A worthless poster would be the expert in worthless posting boards after all???
Segregating SB and BB discussions would help for the same reason that we segregate numerous sports already, and it wouldn't cost TexAgs anything more than a quick one-time config change. Crazy to have 2 distinct and unrelated discussions in the same forum.
Contact Staff Anything we come up with is just speculation. Enough Softball fans asks maybe STAFF will consider it.
Maybe if Coach Ford specifically asking for a separate board would work? I seem to remember when this question arose earlier this season someone posted one of the reasons Volleyball got its own board was because Coach Morrison .requested it.
