Why are there not separate boards for softball and baseball?

If you separate baseball and softball, you are limiting the views for softball posts. There are so many more users that come to this board for baseball than for softball that it makes no sense to limit exposure of softball topics to those who are interested enough in softball to regularly check a softball forum. There is also some natural crossover between the two sports, so it's not like softball has been lumped into some forum with unrelated sports (see volleyball).
If I recall correctly, that was how things started initially; softball was not on the original baseball board, but softball fans asked that it be moved here from the catch all other sports board.
All sports are discussed on one forum on the Premium board. I don't know why this keeps coming up.

Because some of us would like the baseball board to be the baseball board? I dont follow the softball team and would rather not have it clutter the baseball board. This isnt like men's and women's curling.
Can we just sticky this topic? It comes up once a month it seems. would be nice to have a place for the discussion to take place

I don't post on this board or baseball/softball game threads often. This post has less to do with separating out boards.
My first sports love is baseball, and always will be. I've got a son about to go into Jr High, a daughter going into 5th, and a daughter going into 2nd.
If you have daughters, especially young daughters, I strongly encourage you to take the time and watch Aggie softball with them. Learn a little bit about the game and teach it to them while you watch. There are some things that are harder to watch than baseball, but when your daughters start asking when the next game is, memorizing the girls numbers and names, and want to start wearing their number when they play softball, it's an awesome thing.
The side benefit for me was while they would watch some Aggie baseball before, once they started watching softball and really getting into it, they started asking to watch Aggie baseball more.
At this point, during the spring, Aggie baseball and Softball are on almost everyday of the week, and it's awesome!

Combine WBB with Softball, and Volleyball with Soccer. They generally don't have overlapping seasons. So, whichever sport is in season, the comments about that sport will usually be on Page 1.
Soccer and Volleyball are both fall sports. Also Soccer discusses the sport beyond A&M.

My answer remains the same. If you want a separate softball board, start making a lot of softball threads.
