What really sucks is that we had several chances to win that game.
Pitching is going to be interesting in the next game. All 3 of ours pitched in that game but I'm guessing Lessentine will get the start for us. They put Lowery in for the last few innings so I don't know if she will start for them or not.
Just have to say. Ford knows how to set up a pitching game plan. Through two games the Sooners only have 4 earned runs.

Always impressed with the grit Coach Ford's teams show. You can tell they have been very agitated with this ump all afternoon, but they have stuck with it trying to put competitive ABs together. Obviously wanted to win the series, but the progression of this team is evident. Earlier in the season, we just were not able to compete with the top teams, going into the postseason, we absolutely can challenge anybody. The caveat is that the pitching can also make it hard to have many easy games, but they held their own this weekend against a historically productive hitting team.
After we beat Oklahoma 8-5 in Game 1, we lost both games of the doubleheader to lose this series. As a result, we finished the regular season 36-16 and 16-8 in SEC play. However, I love how coach Tricia Ford's team has demonstrated resilience and grit all season long.
I'm certain it was all of Aggieland that was proud of the pitching staff to keep the freshman without a record tying/breaking home run at Davis Diamond. Well done.

Yeah it was obnoxious. I wish we wouldn't have intentionally walked her so many times though. If she hits a dinger, fine. But we put her on and a RISP in game two, and that's when they took a big lead.

In her pregame radio interview before game 2, Gasso mentioned that the A&M players were in class taking finals when they were notified. She didn't mention anything about OU players taking finals on Friday.
