Minor thing, but Bear's home run in the top of the ninth put us ahead of Florida in total runs scored on the weekend, 15-14. We remain the only team in the SEC this year to outscore our opponent in every series.

Awesome. Run differential is the key thing. I know, score more than the other guys…genius. But if you look at our stats in conference play most of the numbers are all basically even with our opponents except for walks, thus ob% (and ops) and a massive run differential. We have a good lead in SBs as well (21 to 11).
Going into today's game, in SEC play, our team BA was .282 to our opponents' .288. 182 hits to our opponents' 189. Homers - 41 for the Ags (which is very good) but we have given up 43. Total bases - Ags have the edge 366 to 359. No real difference. Slg% - Ags .539, Opponents.532. Strikeouts - 178 - 177.
But… we have drawn 129 walks while only given up 65. That leads to an OB% advantage for the Ags of .412 to .370. I posted those and our very good hitting with risp numbers on the Saturday thread. Result in conference play is that we have scored 170 runs (now 175) compared to our opponents 116 (now 117).

Jorian Wilson is a shark who fires laser beams from his arm.
Not to be Debbie Downer, but I'm trying to honestly assess where we are. And what we are is a team that's living on timely home runs to a greater extent than we can probably expect long term. Our overall OBP is great which does provide a lot of opportunities to be fair.
Gavin (and Bear in my opinion as he scores on a lot of GGs hits) has really covered up a lot of warts for this team. Combine that with the emergence of Wilson and you've got a helluva run.
Gavin is battlng nearly .400 in conference play, about 25pts above his overall season average, with the next best everyday player* being Sorrell at .313 (.30 below his overall with a lot of swing and miss). Hacopian is just under.300 with Bear (.281), Duer (.271), Partida (.253) and Kellner (.218) wrapping it up. I use the "*" because Jorian didn't play early but he's hitting .367 since his insertion into the lineup. The other part timers are Bindy (.286) and Kiel (.176).
Sorrell and Duer need to find some consistency for us to make a long run given our lack of overall quality pitching.

Now if he's still struggling at the end of May, into June…….then yeah. But I doubt that kid goes begging at the plate for much longer

It's not as simple as that. While Duer has been a serviceable outfielder, there is a large gap between him and TK. That means the gap between TK's offensive production and that of Binderup/Jordan as a DH has to be equally large to justify the switch. The way we pitch to contact, I'd be very reluctant to make the switch.
