Well, I dunno if you remember, but Earley went. I don't blame him too much- he just wanted to make sure he had a job. But he did go there.

South Carolina is 14th at 7-13.

looking at the current RPI:

#29 Tennessee
#30 Arkansas

and thinking about the new 2-seed S-curve approach for regional assignments...

the Vols and Hogs should be bound for North Carolina and Georgia Tech (or vice versa)...since there will likely be five top 8 seeds from the SEC. The committee's options are very limited if they stick to the S-curve.

UNC and GT would probably not like that

It's a generalized S-curve, and the committee can now look at KPI and DSR. ...and we have no idea HOW they'll use those 3, if they weigh one more significantly than the other, if they use them just to find "glitches", etc.

While I agree that those teams will hate seeing those teams as a 2 wouldn't they REALLY hate to see them as their 3?? Tennessee is 16 in DSR and WooPig is 24. I still think Arkie probably gets sent to Kansas.

Top 16 in my iPhone at this point (not in order) are likely:

UCLA
GaTech
UNC
Texas A&M
texas
Georgia
Oregon St
Kansas
Auburn
Ole Miss
FSU
Coastal
Florida
... And then it gets sketchy

UVa has **** the bed this weekend.
Alabama - has the RPI but only 10-11 in the SEC today
Oklahoma - finishes UF, @WooPig, Tenn. Bubblish RPI today
SoMiss has the metrics but started hot, then sucked, now seem to be getting right.
Hail State - may be turning the corner? How many regionals can Alabama/Miss host?
Missouri St - will they pick a team they know can't host a Super?
Nebraska - can't be losing to Illinois today

In general:
- only 1 host for Big10? A second outside of Nebraska is a stretch
- only 3 for the ACC? That seems low but it takes a stretch to get to #4
- Will OM/State/Aubie/Bama be in a fight for 2 or 3 spots?

the Ags should be no worse than the #3 overall seed right now

and an argument could be made for the #2 seed -- ahead of both ACC teams

the maroon-n-white are 12-13 in the 25 matchups:

5-4 at Blue Bell

2-0 in Omaha
1-8 in Gainesville -- woof

Florida swept in 2016 and 2021. The Ags won the middle game of the series in 2024.

so a great opportunity for the '26 squad to make more history this weekend
