It's not lazy at all. It's extremely accurate. Go look at what some of the top pitching labs and facilities look like at other schools. These guys arent coming because they love ol sarge. We're paying and battling to sign top level guys looking for the best college development to prepare them for the pros.
This offense is a national title contending offense. The pitching staff would struggle against A&M consolidated.

Angers me so much to think how good we'd be with half-decent pitching and a HC + PC who knew what they were doing
and 180 degrees from last year. Pitching wasn't as elite as this offense but still super annoying.

This pitching staff is totally worthless. An embarrassment that has no place on Olsen field. A complete **** show. 14 effing runs is unacceptable at this level in this league and we do it almost on cue against every SEC opponent.

Pitching wasn't bad in 2000. We couldn't hit a lick. I also think that might have been the year that some of the Raggies setup a betting pool for Wardinsky's E's at SS. Made all the tough plays. Couldn't make the routine ones.
When you score 8 on a Friday you should win. Period. Kelly has engrained a fearful approach. He calls pitches scared and that bleeds into the pitchers mindset. When your coach won't call a fastball in a 3 ball count with the bases loaded he's a scared loser and he's telling the pitcher that's how he feels too.
Probably the worst combined staff performance on a Friday night in recent memory. Not only was the staff completely non-competitive, the staff burned through just about every arm we have the day before a double header. Complete program meltdown - both coaches and players.

A team not being well drilled on the fundamentals is 100% on the coaching, unless the players just straight up aren't good enough. Our position players don't seem to lack talent, so that leaves one option.
