i.e. spend the transfer money there

I think they thought Sdao and Moss would perform better than they have. However, DermDoc has said before pitchers do not sign here because of our facilities. I'm concerned we're going to have the same issues this portal season because the facility won't be done until January or we're going to have to overpay for pitching.

Part of it is we are asking more out of Sdao and Moss because we don't have Stewart and McCoy. College injuries are frustrating because there is no minor league or trades.

What? Do they have to lift gallons of milk for weights? Do they have to pitch off a temporary turf mound in the parking lot? Is the clubhouse not climate controlled? Do they only get Happy Meal coupons for their food?……

Any potential pitcher signing that says they aren't coming to aTm due to facilities is just being nice as he doesn't want to bag on the HC, pitching coach, overall staff, outlook for the team and program etc.

Facilities are not a problem, at least they weren't 18 months ago…… what changed?

Like a bunch of people said last week Mizzou is awful so it's easy to overlook our issues.

Our pitching is somewhere between average and poor. Can't field a competitive SEC team with only offense. 18 hits. 14 LOB. We're lucky they scored only 14. Shocking we can be so underwhelming on the mound in year two. No chance Earley is back next year.

They aren't performing to even a reasonable standard if McCoy & JStew were healthy.

One thing that changed on the facilities front is that other programs have opened new facilities of their own. Plus, go watch some of the videos on what these new facilities can offer pitchers. It's why POS was so vehemently asking for facilities from 2022 onwards. All of the new digs offer pitching labs and a lot more modern amenities and it has been pulling pitchers away from us. Derm has mentioned it, yes. But so has Brauny and others on Texags. Not saying it excuses the current staff from loses but it has been an issue with our recruitment of pitchers.

From the look of all the scores most team don't have great pitching. Just need to start winning these high scoring games.

We're just not deep. We have very limited levers to pull if pitchers are having bad days.

I agree we arent deep but I dint think it is only depth, it's a low ceiling as well.....not a great combination. Thank God the offense is what it is.

It's time to put Nico Partida on the mound and let him use that arm.

This 100%. Not alot of options, especially ones that we have any confidence in. Injuries have been killer and every team has them - we just happen to have lost 2 high leverage bullpen arms at a time where our starting pitching has been very subpar.

What does this even mean? Were Stewart or McCoy supposed to be Friday/Saturday starters? It kinda seems like we're just asking Sdao and Moss to get through 5 and allow 3-4 runs or less. That's not a lot to ask from what's supposed to be numbers 1 and 2 on your staff.

If you had told me the Ags dished out 12 Ks, tagged out 2 runners at the plate, jacked 5 HRs and scored 8 runs, I sure would have thought (hoped) the results would have been a little more favorable.

As for Earley, I think he knows at this point even just barely limping into the postseason will result in his termination immediately following the last game of their season. His job hangs on winning at least 4 of the 7 remaining series'.

To me this series feels like the make or break series for earley, especially if we get swept

I think it's going to feel like that the rest of the way if we want to remain around that .500 in sec play
