Headed to Norman for the series. Never been, anyone have insight on places to hang out? Excited for the series, AND its St Patty's Day weekend. Thanks in advance.

I recommend staying in Bricktown in OKC and driving to the games as Norman is basically nothing.
Lots of bars, restaurants, and hotel options in Bricktown.

The only thing I miss about the Big 12 is the tournament there. That was the ideal place for a tournament. I think the SEC tournament is staying in Hoover forever, but if they ever seriously consider another spot, they should look at Bricktown.

Any advice on the parking options? We are attending Friday's game and it looks like we should be able to park at the Lloyd Center.

The 2 best things about the Big 12 during A&M's time were the baseball tourney at Bricktown and basketball tourney in KC. Now that they are no longer using Bricktown, I wish the SEC would grab it even if just alternating with Alabama every other year.

Big 12 is now playing the tournament in Arizona. Should be awesome, a bunch of day games in Arizona in late May.

Any thoughts on getting tickets? Looks like GA seats are $25/each online through OU. Does anyone know if they are cheaper at the gate when you show up or might as well get them online? Looked like the average attendance was typically less than 1,000 so not super worried about a sellout, especially with softball playing the same weekend.

It's not going to be cheaper at the gate. GA will be fine.
I've been four times or so, but back in the Big XII days. The GA seats did not have bench backs at that time, and I believe that is till the case. They are redoing the seating areas after this season (I believe).ensign_beedrill said:twk said:xcaggie08 said:

Have you been there before? Do the GA bleacher seats have backs?

From what I can tell, their ballpark is not situated north/south like ours is.
