Looking at what happened since I switched over to basketball, it looks quite a bit like how the first few innings went. I am not trying to upset anyone here with the following analysis, so I'll go ahead and state it. This is the fun part of being a fan.
I count Mya and Wark as pretty high level run producing RBI ladies (not going out on much of a limb there). We need at least 1 or maybe 2 others to more heavily step into that role, consistently doing so. I see at least 3 and maybe 4 possibilities of being more dangerous:

- Sauni (a freshman who will grow all year)
- AK (reputationally from her freshman year at Florida)
- Tallen (she has been great so far, perhaps not as much long ball potential as the others, buts lots of extra base pop).

I would agree with this. Question: Do you think with KK and Tallen playing new positions it is effecting their hitting?
I don't think so pitching wise for SEC play

In A&M's ranked losses this weekend, there's one glaring issue: Missed opportunities.
Against No. 14 Oregon: 1-for-13 with runners on, 8 LOB
Against No. 6 Nebraska: 4-for-17 with runners on, 11 LOB

I hadn't thought about that. But perhaps that is part of it. Maybe more thinking going on for them instead of just playing loose and confidently.
And Tallen was still raking. Coming into today's games she was at a .361 average with 12 RBI's.
So the question would be are all of the SS responsibilities impacting KK's power game so far?

Hitting to me is about taking the box with a relaxed confidence. It is just one of those things the harder you try the worse it gets.
The old saying "Some days it looks like a beachball, some days it looks like a golf ball" is true for all players. The hard part is to not press after a bad day or bad game.
Also need to clean up the defense. Although they don't all go down as unearned runs that 4 run 4th should have been zero with better outfield defense, This group of outfielders doesn't have much time in the outfield. I think some of that clears itself up with more experience but it needs to happen quickly. Being up 1-0 instead of down 4-1 can effect the approach at the plate even it you know it shouldn't

That is kind of my thought. I know she was a shortstop in high school but then transitioned to 2nd base last and was outstanding. So she moved back to the left side this year and Tallen moved from the left side to the right side. To me it just hasn't looked like KK is comfortable with playing shortstop right now and is still trying to find her way. I certainly think this could take attention away from her hitting.
