Anyone that was fighting four a Regional seems to think being a 2 seed is better. TCU falls to Arizona, Oregon gets shut out by Michigan State, Kansas loses to Cincinnati, Louisville loses to Notre Dame, Irvine loses to UC-SD 19-4 at home, East Carolina loses to Wichita State. Even NC State pushing for a national seed loses to Miami.

as the SoCal area has had a college baseball resurgence this year

Thats the way it looks to me, too. Especially if one of OU and TCU don't host (agree with Ref that the one that hosts will probably draw the other as a 2).
