all right, the Tigers are in town for the 12th series between the schools since A&M joined the SEC in 2013

the unique element of the series...there has not been a sweep in the prior 11 meetings. The series has always gone 2 of 3...one way or the other

LSU has won its last 2 trips to Blue Bell in 2021 and 2023. A&M's last series win was in BR in 2022.

three times an unranked A&M team has won the series vs. a top 10 Tiger team: 2014, 2017, and 2022

When you make the pitcher actually have too get it over the plate for a strike, it makes a big difference.

Was the plan from Schloss to just allow for the run rule? Geez that was too long a leash.

Or Riojas is just off tonight?

Look at my history, not one to gripe about blue, but pitches he was getting called strikes last week, he wasn't getting tonight. There were quite a few i thought he'd get, and he didn't.

This is by far the most balanced team he's had in recent memory. I could definitely see them winning the whole thing. And as much as I hate pig in general I don't hate DVH, and right now I just want anyone but pos.

I don't know if he was overconfident as much as it was very personal and he was maybe too focused on the end result. Either way it's not what was working during the offensive explosion, and we need that version back this weekend.

I think the last time the sips went to Fayetteville may have been at old George Cole Field, where the stands were 3 sets of semi-permanent bleachers, the home plate section being topped by a prefabricated log cabin which served as the press box (broadcasters sat out in the porch), and the road into Fayetteville was the old US 71 through the hills (had a sign that said "X number of people have been killed over the next five miles the last ten years. Don't you be next!).
