People would go bizerk if he did not send him and the next batter got out

Bad send, but great slide. He was safe.
Nope. Not a bad send.
I don't care how many outs there are, it was your catcher running and the LF had the ball before the runner even reached third. Bad send.

LOL if the teams were reversed we would have been pissed if that was overturned.
I watched the same slow as you did. Foot was hovering as the laces on the glove were touching. Then leather touched as the foot rotated down to get full contact with the plate. That is what I saw. I rewound it several times and paused myself.Aggies2009 said:Eliminatus said:Yeah. Never doubted it. It literally looked like a perfect simultaneous tag/foot on plate play to me and it was called out. They will favor Blue call every time. Sucks but I understand it when I take off the Maroon glasses.Aggies2009 said:

Slow mo that it was not even close. It was clearly safe.
It's not maroon glasses. It's objective.

Just stop using replay. When the opportunity to make the right call is there make the right fing call. If you're not going to use it for that then just stop using it. Complete chicken **** to not overturn that. Just like football SEC fails to hold itself accountable on a play that matters.
Left fielder has the worst arm in the outfield and has to make a perfect throw to get him. With 2 outs, You definitely send and put the pressure on him to make the perfect throw. He made a great throw. But it is definitely the right call to send him and make him make that throw.TexAgs23 said:AggieBand2004 said:94chem said:AggieBand2004 said:

Agree. The third base coach has to watch that and know that you don't send the runner if the LF guy already has the ball.

It changed before that in college ball. Been a long time since you could bowl over a catcher if he was in your way.wink1989 said:
I get that the Buster Posey injury years ago was a big factor in changing the way catchers have to be positioned to make a play. But, I sure miss the old days of finding out who "owns" the plate on a play there.
