I'm beginning to have some real concerns about the offense. It seems that most every opponent drives the ball and we have do many non- competitiveness bats - too many weak pops or strikeouts.

I didn't see Emiley at the game until the 4th inning. Still suspect some sort of illness but who knows. Need to win the series tomorrow. Seems we had plenty of opportunities but failed with runners on today. The bottom of the lineup seems to be in a slump together. Hopefully that works itself out

Coach said in the post-game interview that she's a little banged up, but she's fine. I'm not sure what that means, but seeing her in the dugout means it's likely not an illness.

Maybe. At least nothing contagious. I was actually hoping for illness over injury. Pitching even without her has not been a problem this weekend. But tomorrow is another day. Will we run thin without her? Will Alabama run thin? I noticed Sidne seemed to be wearing a TENS unit after the game last night and after her bullpen today. Hopefully she is good to go tomorrow. Just win the series. Bama is a good but not great team. We need to win home series when they are winnable. I never assume any SEC can be swept. Sweeps happen but the you have to play at high level to get to one. We have pitched at high level. Timely hitting wasn't there today and one defensive mistake made the difference.

Overall I think we win 7 of 10 against them but we need only need 2 of 3. That could still go either way

Saw bam catcher after the game with a soft cast on her glove hand.

We pitched well enough to win yesterday. Easily.

Regardless of who pitches today we need more production from our hitters. What we talk about all the time - clutch hits, stringing hits together, etc. We tend to be up and down in this regard, this season and previous seasons. Too many slumps. The mental aspect is tough, of course. But we can do it.

Clean defense, too, of course, is necessary.

But we can put it all together today and take the series !!

KK is a darn good fielder but her bat has been really cold. 1 hit in last 18 or so bats. The 1 hit WAS an HR but Amari has been hot and Frankie's bat has been better than KK's. I think a good change.
