The problem with a lot of you guys is it's one game, and potentially a bad move. Tonight wasn't great. But let's wait and see the full body of work for Earley before making a final judgment. It's confirmation bias otherwise. And why a lot of you should t be running an athletic department.

We were ranked #1 in the country. The best baseball team in America.

And we are quite obviously on a path to completely whiff on making the post season at all...

And you want to see a full body of work to judge this team?

If anyone needs their heads adjusted, it's you. Especially if you witnessed what happened tonight.

We could have won this game, but our HC did his best to prevent that from happening with his completely ******ed management of our pitching staff.

No, THIS team wasn't the #1 team in the country. A team on paper that never played was. You're not getting that part. The sooner you realize that, the sooner your expectations will be more realistic given what we actually fielded. Yes, this team with a healthy Grahovac and healthy Sorrell and healthy Josh Stewart is likely the #1 team this year. That's NOT this team. So, unless and until Sorrell and Stewart are back, let's hope what we do have keeps getting better and improving. I really saw a lot I like tonight. This may be a very good team by the end of the season and could make a nice post season run. And for THIS fielded team that is actually playing, that's a successful year. Reality.

And why do I need to have my head adjusted after game 1 in the SEC where we actually looked pretty good at points. Still have areas we need to improve. But, it's likely you that needs to have your expectations adjusted given the reality of a banged up and injured team with some good young g potential on it.

This is not an injury problem, and you are lying to yourself if you believe it is. Henseler, Kash, LaViolette, Kent, 2 talented freshman, and a veteran catcher is enough pieces to have a better offense than this. Way too much on the roster outside of Schott, Grahovac, & Sorrell to be this bad. Not to mention all the talented sophomore pitchers that don't seem to have developed much. This is a coaching issue all around.

imo, the Aggies were forced into rebuilding mode the minute Schloss split.

It is only a question of how many years will it will take.

Even if Early totally implodes, keeping so many of our players from last year cushions the blow and makes the rebuilding easier.

And I'm still not giving up. Not yet anyway.

I agree. Blaming it on injuries is just being unrealistic. Sorrell is out, but the guy who replaced him is hitting .450.

Maybe, but the guy pushed every wrong button tonight.

And then a few more for good measure. Games like this will haunt you.
Maybe he won't ever make the exact same mistakes again…

Ya, it's very much an injury problem. Like huge problem. We lost the SEC freshmen or the year. We lost one of the biggest up and coming players (hopefully he can come back soon) and a huge arm (leaving Sdao out of this yet there is another guy). You don't lose that and expect to be the #1 team. You're lying to yourself if you think otherwise. Those were massive blows. It's just reality. It sucks. But it is what it is.

Harrison has done nothing to warrant more flying time other than Tuesday's. His AB's tonight were costly yuu think Galloway would've battled a little better. I really hope Earley didn't tell them to square around 3-0.

The problem is in the world of NIL and the transfer portal the hiring of the wrong coach, and I'm not saying Early is, sets you 3-4 years further back than losing some incredible talent in year 1 while hiring the right coach. That's the dice roll you take when you let your incredible talent pick your coach.

How much are you going to make?
Who would brag about making a "smart" bet against their own team? He doesn't know what it pays because he didn't actually place those bets.

Excuse making is next level. Earley had the easiest job imaginable…do exactly what your predecessor did last year. Exactly the same. Easy as it can get.

And he still screwed it up.

If you don't agree, fine. But you have to admit that the narrative of "the #1 team" when you're not accounting for the injuries is huge. But, I'm not a baseball expert by any stretch. Yet one who is, Ryan Brauninger, has been saying this very thing. No, it doesn't give Earley and staff a free pass by any stretch. But if you're basing this team's performance so far and aren't accounting for the injuries, you are very much in denial. That doesn't mean this should be a bad team, but losing those guys probably cost us 4-5 wins to date, maybe more. Admit that if they are on this team and 100% healthy, we'd be a VERY good team and have a great record.

Let's hope THIS team can get good enough to win and make a long post season run. The CWS alone, at this point to me, would be a huge success. It can happen.

Rudis has been very trust worthy in that position most of the time. The problem is he pulled a very hot pitcher two pitchers before when there was no need to. It's like a previous poster stated, Early was trying to prove his coaching brilliance by going with matchups instead of the hot hand. Keep it simple stupid would have looked much more brilliant.

The team without those players should not be 10-7. The team without those players should still be a top 15 team. We aren't even going to make a regional at this pace. That's not an injury issue it's a coaching issue man. The product on the field is not acceptable with the level of talent on the team even with the injuries.

Gives me some major Jimbo vibes.

How do you not see that interference at home? Was Earley in the bathroom? I don't like that it happened but other than his little duck, there's no way that he could have interfered more

Brauny also said this morning that Earley could be our Tony Vitello. When it comes to him talking about the Aggies take it with a grain of salt, even if he is a "baseball expert"

What he won't say is what everyone on he is calling out. With better coaching the results so far this year would most likely be far improved

He'll win the series against Texas and get a 7 year guaranteed contract for $75,000,000.

I agree with your theory on pulling a pitcher a bit early but not on the trustworthiness of Rudis in that position this season. Let's see what the coaching staff learns from this evening.
Killzone3abc

Rudis hasn't been the guy for that spot in a while. Love the kid, but he's very susceptible to the long ball if he's not on the money with his location. Pulling Luke when he was dealing to play the matchup game is definitely the bigger issue.

Get mad at the pitching all you want, but it was this move that was the wtf move of the night for me. Decide you want to pitch hit for Galloway, that's dumb, but ok. Do it with Harrison and you've made it a wtf are we doing move. It was like we thought since Harrison was going to replace him we had to hit him. As bad as Binderup has been I'd preferred to see him over Harrison.

I'll admit that having those players on this team would make us even more incredible "ON PAPER". But, the way this team is currently being coached to maximize launch angle at the plate and nonsensical pitching changes, I do not believe our record would be better. And Bauringer, while entertaining and somewhat knowledgeable, is no closer to an expert on baseball than our rookie head coach and a number of our posters on TexAgs.
