What did y'all expect from a hitting coach who had never had to make these decisions in a game.

Stop looking at metrics as the best coaches have a "feel" for the game.

Schloss used to put in our best bullpen pitcher late in a 6-run lead game on a Friday night.. Earley pulls the guy pitching best after downing 4 batters consecutively in a tied game to put in questionable guys to pitch.

So is Earley calling the pitchers and who goes in and out or is the pitching coach? Earley has said pitching isn't his thing. Not defending Earley necessarily as the buck stops with him, but that could be the case. I don't know enough about baseball to know what the right call is. But, ya, Jackson looked hot.
