The speaker by the lawn doesn't work well. Dampens the atmosphere when you can't hear the walk up songs etc.

However this is not the first time someone has brought this up on TexAgs and nothing has come of it and I doubt anyone will be able to convince most Aggie baseball fans to do something like this. Heck we can't even get Olsen to slow down the Ball 5 chant. anyways it is possible to be loud without football Rah Rah type chants.

Heard a lot of great ones today in right field. For the last few innings we were messing with #11 Vince Fattore. Every step he took we yelled "Left, Right, Left!" Even when he struck out on the walk back we were yelling.
Chanting the pitcher's name was pretty electric, whole crowd was yelling at the top of their lungs and shaking the stands. Honestly felt like football season again.

I have an idea. What if the crowd was yelling things. Maybe Aggie related things. And they were yelling them coordinated. They'd probably need someone to lead them.

No, it was most of the usual 203 folks. Started slower last night as well but got fast quickly

This would be cool if done more like sung, low. Think "rock chalk" chant. I believe old army used to do it like that? However. It would be cool at football and basketball. I just don't think it's really a baseball thing.

You're welcome. Seriously, every time I think I'm Old Army my Dad reminds me he went to the A&M College of Texas and I'm New Army. One of his favorite memories of the baseball games was that the band (Perhaps a Drum and Bugle Corps. I can't vision the whole band but who knows?) was in attendance for all the games and would provide the musical entertainment. He distinctly remembers they would play the funeral march when the opposing coach would pull a pitcher.

Yes I am well aware that it depends on the batter. Some people watching on TV don't know this is done. I was suggesting it was published so everyone knew what was being said and those not sitting in 203 could do it too.,
