After a low this morning of 0F, it's sunny and 16F on our way up to 18F this afternoon. Will be -4F in the morning and warm up to 16F tomorrow. Mizzou will be on the road for a while to start the season.Quote:

We are at 1 degree F, with a wind chill of -30 degrees F. Supposed to get to -12 degrees F tonight (actual temperature). Too damn cold, wishing I was back in Texas even at 20 degrees.

For those who are too young to remember, the opening day game in 1994 was played in light freezing rain. The upper deck was closed due to icing. Folks were told to sit anywhere downstairs that they could find a seat.

Cold front hit yesterday. High was only 66 today in Mesa, Arizona. I'm pretty sure the coldest I've ever been was at an Aggie game in February.
Actually for me being this close to baseball but before it starts is the best. Once it starts the sands run out of the hourglass much too quickly. I like having it to look forward to rather than dreading the end.

I remember the bleachers being iced over in either '04 or '05 and the game still being played in the freezing drizzle. I remember walking back to Mosher wrapped in my GameDay blanket thinking I would never be warm again. That cold wind got into your bones.

I recall one game so cold and it was 25 cent hot dog day. We had a blanket we were wrapped in and when we left, they asked us if we wanted any hot dogs to take home...for free! We loaded up that blanket as they dumped cooler after cooler of hot dogs into it. Being poor broke college student, we lined our freezer up with aggie dogs. We'd nuke 2 or 3 at a time and had a huge can of chili from Sam's club. The farts in that duplex never smelt so bad! We still talk about that cold game to this day!dabo man said:

I believe this was the infamous midweek game against Texas Southern held the first season after members of their band had been arrested shoplifting in Japan. All of the guys along the front row had electronics with "evidence tags" hanging from them. By the middle of the game, the TSU players were making threats to come up and kick asses after the game. By the end of the game, the Raggies were tossing free hotdogs down to them. At some point, Kelly Wunsch went batting practice toss/whack on a hotdog.Quote:
