Schott is already the embodiment of the 12th Man! He has embraced everything about this university.

Love me some BUT 12th Man tradition is not that. Have no issue whatsoever with Schott and his amazing personality.

But fell the true, traditional embodiment is not this.

Give it to the younger kid, sitting the bench for the most part but playing his heart out. Giving it his all in every moment while he normally watches all the studs.

Sorry just believe the 12th Man should always be that underdog who has to work at an insane level to come close to being a starter. And that is very, very, very rare.

No sure it has ever happened????

I see it more for baseball as the team captain number. Like at LSU it's #8 typically

This isn't football.

Other sports have tried to incorporate the usage in meaningful ways.

12th Man is baseball is actually just a few years old. And if it is Schott he's very much in the mold of the prior guys. He's clearly a leader of the team and has the respect of his peers and coaches. Perfect fit it is in fact him.

Id give it to the person who provides 12th Man spirit/Spirit of Aggieland to the team. Captain is fine in fact but it doesn't have to be your best athlete that makes everyone better kind of role in my opinion. It has to represent what the school means the best.

Schott is not our best athlete. In fact last year, he was the DH. Something about being DH speakers to me when it comes to #12.

He loves and represents the university well. He is an excellent spokesman.

I think it should be the heart and soul of the team.

Im fine with Hayden. Even if he earns an infield spot!

No, he's not the best athlete but he DH'd because he was hurt.

He's saving/hiding all of his speed for when he steals home to finish off a run rule win against Schloss in April. Total 4D chess move by Hayden
