So we're getting an increase now in preparation for additional increases for the stadium remodel?

How do these prices stack up against the rest of the SEC?

Seems to be somewhat in line with UT

We're going to need to pay for the new stadium somehow

Ticket prices aren't going to cover a stadium. Donations will cover that, this is to offset a little, the increased scholarship numbers and the base salary for lack of better term that will be paid to all athletes. The rest comes outta football revenue

I was born in the wrong decade to be able to procure Aggie baseball season tickets. Can someone post what the prices for the same seats were last year for comparison?

Assuming that's fully loaded with the seat license I paid $870 for prime lower reserve last year. This year those are $1205 so a 39% increase.

Edit: they are fully loaded.

My seats have doubled since I first bought in 2018. This will be my 7th season. There was no donation until last season. I hope the donation statement is correct - these seasons all blend together. In the last two years it went from approximately $550, $800, to now $1090. I have 2 seats third base side by the player parents section.

Donations are going to build the stadium, but ticket costs are going to go up substantially. If the survey is accurate regarding what they want to charge, then I'm expecting to pay $2000-$2500 for my current 2 seats. That should include the annual TMF donation. I was hoping to eventually move down, but I'll probably have to stay where I am if I want to keep my football tickets in my current location.

We wanted more. The result is significant demand for tickets and significant new expenditure.

Usually some of the buildout is covered with the equivalent of a construction loan bond and the revenue backing both the bond and operational expenses is from seat and concessions I believe.

I think it is challenging to run a profit due to the relatively short season for college baseball and the school is taking on significant risk if they can't keep revenue flowing until the bonds are discharged.

Also: the preferred seats always have more value and more demand. So the newer seats likely will produce less revenue than the existing core of the ballpark,

Not suggesting it isn't painful by the way. But those of you who are current season ticket holders have seen one of the most exciting periods of Aggie Baseball and you are part of the fan culture that makes Aggie Baseball a great and unique experience.

I just hope the donation I make specifically for baseball tickets at least stays in the baseball program and doesn't get distributed to other sports.

But that might be too much to hope.

I doubt baseball makes enough money to divert elsewhere esp with the additional cost with scholarships and paying players.

Again all spring sports season tickets are going up, which I'm sure will be an increase next fall in ticket price increases

The only sport that we have the makes any profit currently is football.

The goal is to eventually get men's basketball to profitability and baseball to break even.

I read many years ago that Big 12 MBB TV money made that sport profitable. Is the same not true for the SEC MBB TV money?

That was when coaches were making like $1-2M per year and support staffs were way smaller and scholarships were cheaper. Costs are up 100's of % since then.

We broke even for a few years but I don't think we actually turned a profit. That's better than baseball at most schools though.

From the article linked in the OP:

The renewal period for spring sports tickets launches on Oct. 17 and concludes on Nov. 7.

My guess is expenses have been greater in recent years than when they were in the B12.

New coaching staff and recent success in Omaha might change things for 2025.

35 home games last year. So $33.43 per game for full season for those seats?

If you're buying the 18 game season rubber you should expect to pay a premium since you are not paying for the full season.

In the MLB the full season ticket per game ticket is roughly 50% of single ticket usually.

31% increase in 206! Do they go up another 50% when the renovations start?

This is a good question. When they did the survey a few months ago they asked what we would be willing to pay in various parts of the stadium. For my seats they asked if we'd pay $1200/seat. The implication was that was the price after renovations but since that's the price now what are they thinking when is finished?

2021 cost $350. 2025 is going to be 3.4x that. Both trips to Omaha were followed by massive increases. I get it but…

IMO they've already skyrocketed. Looks as if season tickets where I had mine my final season (2015) have nearly tripled.

If demand goes up…but adding seats will also increase supply. Except the most desired seats of course:
