tu fatigue has already set in around the league and not a single game has been played.
They're only 90 miles away. It's been a true blessing to not be in the same league with that filth.

They moved to the SEC for only one reason. They reacted to our football success in 2020 and had no idea what to do for their program so they said F-it.
The thing though, this actually might be the thing to really get us going. Especially in the NIL era. When it was announced three years ago they were moving, I have no doubt many of our boosters jumped and started or gave more to the NIL fund. It probably had a lot to do with our success in the portal the last three years. And now we get another boost bc of the coaching jump. Adding them also removed the SEC west. Playing Texas instead of Bama every year is a bonus, easier game.
Will be interesting to see the final record this year against the sips in the big 3. My thoughts are we are going to be pleased.

I would be shocked if there wasnt a huge bribe as they both went undercover to aneak tbe sips in the back door.

Think about the alternative. They got to BIG and basically compete with OSU and Michigan and get BIG media dollars.
Even in the Big12, texas was a top 3 revenue AD. Anyone thinking they were going away is ignoring their value.

The bribe is ESPN told Sankey he would become college football commissioner or exec at ESPN if he let tu in for free. When it became obvious that neither of those options were realistic Sankey put up a block to a 9 game schedule for free which leads us to today. Now tu is already in and no one making more money. If ESPN or tu can continue to string him along then it will be a serious issue for the entire league and the league will see it first hand on Saturdays when tu gets some questionable calls that keeps their playoff hopes alive.Divining Rod said:

Walk me through how this happens? I don't think you're wrong, it would take the right timing and somehow tu would have to believe they wouldn't take a PR hit. I am guessing they decide they go to the BIG with Notre Dame, Kansas (yes b-ball) and maybe UVA? Or just ND and tu to get the conference to 20. SEC then takes on a combo of UVA, UNC, Miami, FSU, Clemson, and Kansas/VA Tech?MaroonStain said:

I do think if tu could work a bigger pay day and the chance to do something with Notre Dame they would do it and the PR would not be as bad but leaving the SEC after only a few years seems unlikely.
