Seems this one's on a different trajectory

If what I read on here is correct and Heefner has top 10 draft picks with not even close top 10 recruiting, then he can really coach up. What top recruit would not want a coach like that? His big obstacles of not having resources, facilities, and a top conferecne is removed. Then throw in the character of the anti-Schloss....sounds like a great hire.

You can live your faith at a secular school. Lots of people do. He may see that as a positive.

It is the preaching to players. Can live like you want, but not push it on players. That will become a problem.

May not be the sec but for DBU that is a pretty damn nice set up for the team.

My thoughts exactly. I don't see those facilities as an obstacle. Any 17 year old visiting that in a city like Dallas, probably leaves excited

Because EVERY college baseball insider says Heefner is a great get, EVERYONE. He's been turning down jobs for years. He's turned down Texas. We're not bigger than him.

This right here. Although I'm getting my DBU MBA diploma this fall, always an Aggie first and foremost. Nice having DBU with a good program but if he makes A&M better, I say we go get him if we can sway him.

Yeah DBU built those facilities (it's small but very nice) after DBU was turned down to host, I think the Super in 2011, by the NCAA bc the facility at the time was lacking. California had no lights and DBU's facility was substandard. They played at Santa Clara.

And I've said it already but Heefner would be an outstanding hire and we would be an absolute power if we were to hire him.
