If he brings Cliff I would be over the moon. Both of them have huge ties to Texas coaches.

But.... Cliff may stay as head coach at DBU because Heefner wouldn't want to screw their program. He is that kind of guy.

Aggies kill me. We may be hiring one of the star coaches soon and he isn't big enough for us? 40 plus in the league but he isn't big enough for us. I'd say we will be just fine. I hope he is our guy. We need some leadership. Class and quality on one package. Sign me up.

Beede in particular is a very knowledgeable youth baseball insider from what I understand, talks to a ton of different college coaches. He definitely has a reputation to protect and would not just be writing this, again from what I understand. I am not sure how he would be the one to know this though... He is friends with Schloss though...

But Heefner & co. would be an excellent hire. His success in building the DBU program from nothing and with very limited resources has been pretty remarkable. They bang at the plate and they've done an excellent job with their pitchers.

Frankly, as long as we keep LaViolette, Grahovac, and Sorrell from transferring I don't care who we hire. I'd love to keep Kent too but he seems the least likely to stay.
