This kind of thing has been happening for years, but schloss tearing into Zane and then bolting 12 hours later has really gotten national media talking about college baseball. The media does not like reporters getting unfairly attacked, and I'm here for it.

Think of Montgomerey.

How many shots of him, a transfer, pulling with everything he's got for his team and his teammates while injured on the side?

How many mentions of his worth and value?

Do you doubt his commitment to his team and teammates?

Then you find out the HEAD COACH isn't even one tenth as committed to his team, the students, the university.

Don't need the death penalty in baseball. Lay it on the coaches and given them all a suspension for a year or more and a show cause. That would put CDC in position of defending his buddy or firing (for cause?). Pretty sure CDC would choose protecting his backside over protecting his bud.

We definitely paid him but we weren't the highest bidder. He based his decision on more than $$$

Yeah, hoping this, plus the Beard fiasco, and hopefully Sark fails on the transition to the SEC, puts a lot of pressure to get rid of CDC.

But without some sanction on Schloss, sip fans will just look at this as a win and pulling one over on the Ags with CDC as a hero.

In baseball, you don't have to make an election. Teams can draft you, and you turn down the money then go back to school. You can keep your name out of the draft if you really want to (they ask each potential draftee to fill out a form with basic information, and, if you don't return that, then you won't be drafted), but it's not like football or basketball where you have to declare for the draft.

Given how they do the signing pool, if you are taken in the first 10 rounds, that usually means the team drafting you has come to an agreement with you on the bonus. Teams do not want to draft someone in the early rounds and fail to sign them because of how it affects their bonus pool.

Why isnt anyone on social media talking about the timing of the Pierce firing and how it was clearly done to inflict maximum damage to A&M? schloss is clearly complicit in that and it must have been a huge distraction to the team and possibly impacted the outcome.

None of the players have said anything about schloss talking to them that day to dispel the rumors, which is what any coach would do in that situation who was trying to win a NC.
