Love this!!!
I don't have an answer, but there should be a prompt response to this event. If we don't respond, it will happen again, because no consequences will be expected in the future. I understand that tu has to pay us $3 million buyout and we do not need to jeopardize that, but maybe we should push the limit here. This is really bad and in business (this is a business) your internal lawyers have to provide solid counsel for approach and then hire a litigator that will eat tu's lunch. This is really terrible and we should mount an attack before the end of the week. I'm pretty certain we stayed silent to hear Jim's PC today. I wonder if there is some rule about TX educational institutions being unable to sue each other? I'd blow that up just to defy it and test it.94chem said:It's a brazen act of unprovoked economic warfare. Every last scripted second. This isn't merely reporting your rival's recruiting violations, or some other typical SEC vindictiveness. An attack on the permanent fund at some point is an idea, but smart and connected people need to be making this a priority. Our state institutions cannot be allowed to deliberately inflict economic damage on each other without consequences.

Looch had a good point this morning. Schloss is playing for a NC and TU fires their coach before the game. How does he not take this as backstabbing?
TU screwed him over by creating a distraction as much as they did A&M.

This will be interesting to watch how it plays out. If honor and integrity mean anything to TX HS Coaches who preach it,...we'll see if they mean it. How could they encourage a player to go to this guy?Ervin Burrell said:A silver lining in this - any coach worth his salt in the SEC and in the state of Texas is going to use this sh/tshow to negatively recruit against Texas going forward.FireballAg said:

Have it on very good authority that Jace, sorrel, grahovac, moss, and Wilson are all gone for sure.
Why did Jace tweet that out about next year at A&M if he's leaving? He obviously knew about all of this when he sent that tweet
I can hate him leaving, but I can still accept it. Just like when BCG left for Kentucky. But Kentucky didn't try to destroy A&M. Del Conte may not be in control of his mental faculties. No intelligent business person would have counseled him to handle things this way. An incredibly bad business move to fire Pierce when he did. Not disrepecting Buzbee and his experience (I am aware of his prowess), but a good attorney knows that if you have a shred of emotion tied to a case, it can lead to weakness. I think a neutral party that is a nasty meat eater is the ticket.Grapist said:Like I said in another thread, one of our biggest boosters happens to be an asshat lawyer who loves the spotlight and is incredible at it. Portal doesn't necessarily mean gone. It's 100% in these player's interest to enter the portal now even if they don't really want to leave. They have no idea about the next coaching staff and what is going to happen. Probably matters least of all for Jace because he's clearly a special talent but still...baseballfan31 said:

Yep. I agree. The counsel on this is off the chart horrible...maybe It could be that counsel gave him a decent strategy and CDC tossed it and said I'll do it my way. Counsel may have then advised, you can do it your way, but the consequences and visual may be the worst. I do think CDC feels arrogance to a point of being above decency. CDC is a real POS, but at least he's transparent about it. No way I would want to be around that guy, friends or business. Seen enough of these CDC types in my life and they're not worth it.94chem said:I can hate him leaving, but I can still accept it. Just like when BCG left for Kentucky.
