Man, that is definitely the Cortez that didn't need to show up tonight. Biggest pitching performance of his career and he throws 8 straight balls. Yikes!!!

Totally unexpected because he has been absolutely nails lately.

Lamkin is going to be needed this weekend on shortened rest. Thats the reason to not increase his pitch count. It was the right call.

Cortez was just off for the first time in a long time.
