A game played outdoors (as baseball should be) will at times be affected by weather conditions. Forecast looks as if we'll be dodging T-Storms that might cause delays but also expect both games to be played today.
TODAY we are targeting the southern zone in eastern Nebraska into Iowa for #tornado potential in a moist, unstable and strongly sheared warm sector behind complex of showers and storms this morning.

Looks like we could get a seriously delayed game. Darn! Hoping to join the Aggie Club in Driftwood, TX to game watch but gonna hit the couch if delayed past 8pm.

Looking at a local to Omaha source, looks like the worst is expected in the late afternoon. Everything after 5 looks to be scattered.
Already had about 0.7 inches of rain this morning.

The forecasted heat on Sunday and Monday might negatively impact some teams that might not be accustomed to those temperatures.
Then, as I wrote this, I realized that almost all of the teams in both brackets are essentially from the South or Southeast (except perhaps Virgina - which might be considered more of a Mid-Atlantic team) - and thus ARE likely to have experience with hot weather.

I'm not sure why they didn't move game 1 up today. Looks like they would probably have an u interrupted game if they'd started at 10 or 11 CST.

At the Kentucky game now. Somewhat overcast and breezy but doesn't look like rain so far

Big golfer here. This isn't a huge issue. 0.3 inches expected in total. So it rains for an hour and we resume. No problem.

Its not going to be a rain out, but an hour long (or more) interruption will have a big impact on the game. As the better team, you'd rather not have that wildcard injected into things.BigSneezy said:
