What do you mean? Since when were players getting suspended left and right for grades until now?

We had to actually go to class and make grades to compete.

Back in the late 80's, early 90's colleges started spending tons of money on tutors and academic counseling to keep their athletes eligible. It was the first facility race, then nutrition, then sports medicine, then barbershops and neon dunk pools.

This has been going on a long, long time.

Back in the early 70's we had tutors, knew the favorable classes and other things. A lot of guys still couldn't cut it. I find it difficult,especially from what I see, that those guys don't exist anymore.

Yikes. Some of you need to step outside, breathe in this ungodly hot air, and yell at the clouds.

But as an aside- I am all for NIL $$ for our baseball team. It was only a few years ago that you could find some of our starters waiting tables around town because college and living here is expensive, and scholarships didn't pay for much.
