Heroin is legal there thanks to their looney libtard government....
No!! Swing at first pitch! All time! Every AB!!P.U.T.U said:
In the past if a pitcher was not used to the heat he could slow things down, with the pitch clock they don't have that option. We need to make sure we take some first pitches to get their pitch count up early.

I don't believe the heat/humidity will make one iota of a difference. These guys are athletes, not beer gut 50 year olds

If our pitching staff is on, we should shut them down but I'm not expecting us to blow them out.

I went to summer basic training at Ft. Riley. Personally saw 2 northerners drop with heat stroke, swallowing their tongue, the whole thing. Granted, these weren't top notch athletes, but humidity is REAL. And it wasn't 95 degrees with over 63% humidity as it will be Saturday. Enjoy.

There's a reason professional teams travel early to cold / wet, hot / humid, and high altitude places early to acclimate.
And that's not going to help them this weekend. Today in Eugene is overcast (UV index of 1) low of 48deg, high of 76deg.
I'm a 4th generation Houstonian and tried mowing my grass yesterday roughly the same as gametime for Saturday. I had to finish after dinner because it was miserably hot, humid, and still with a real feel close to 105deg and a UV index of 10.
They better bring a lot of IV, wet towels, and portable AC systems for that dugout or they may be taking some of those kids to the hospital.
