after winning the Friday game in Lexington on May 3rd, the Hogs were 40-7 on the season...and everything was going great
but after that win, Arkansas went just 4-9 in their last 13 games
and finished 44-16 for the season
the pitching staff cratered in the last month. Maybe they were overworked earlier in the season
Gotta say if I was a Hog that just makes you sick. They tried to manage workload and still stay competitive and by all accounts did it right. Makes me feel a lot better about our slump - hitting can always come back quick, but a staff of pitchers used to dominant outings is super hard to overcome when they fall off.
