This team is matched up with tenn correct? While I love a good upset I think ECU has a better chance of knocking out tenn so maybe that wouldn't be the worst thing if they end up winning today

I don't mind the concept. I do believe it's help a traditionally slow paced game to be more viewer friendly.

I don't like that it doesn't seem to be applied equally at times. A catcher shouldn't get to stand on home plate and the batter be called for a violation. Same for a hitter dicking around and the pitcher to be called for a violation.

I think some more conversations, training, and consistency there is needed for next year.

What I hate about the shot clock is that it came to that. There was no reason that umpires had to allow hitters to take nature walks between pitches. Growing up in the 80s, the Astros started every night at 7:35 and were usually done before 10. The game moved along fine without any timers.

I used to love the fact that baseball was an untimed game, and I hate that it no longer is...
but the pace of games had become absolutely unwatchable, and the clock has knocked the length of games back to a reasonable amount of time.

I think one of the more interesting things I've learned from squeeze play is a stadium, announcers, and myself at home can all see the same thing in slowmo replay and the replay official calls the opposite a lot more than I used to believe.
