Can Miss State possibly host if they win the tourney? The reason I am asking is about starting pitching for them tonight. Do they go with their ace to try and win it all or save pitching for the regional play?

They're absolutely in the mix for hosting. I think if they make it to Sunday, they will for sure host. They might even host by making it to Saturday depending on what the other teams like OSU, Arizona, ECU, Indiana St, UCSB, and Duke do in their conference tourneys.

Thank you fightintexag13. I guess we will see their ace tonight. I want the Ags to win but I also want our pitchers to be fresh for the regionals. I am not sure we can have it both ways.

They will be as fresh as they ever are. They will have 5 days off before regionals, assuming we make it to the championship game in Hoover. Starters don't usually have much more rest than that, and relievers usually have less with mid week games.

I know exactly what that is. The tv was obviously on when they showed a replay of a Jace Laviolette home run.
The "exit velo" was too much for your tv to handle. Notice that near the middle of the "flaw" on your set are dark vertical lines. That's your telltale sign right there. Those represent train tracks. That looks like a Jace 500-foot homer with about a 114-116 exit velo. It could be Braden, it's hard to tell.
The only fix for this is as follows... Have the tv on when they show a replay of a hitter striking out on an Evan Aschenbeck change-up. The change-up MUST BE NO FASTER than 77 mph. This should jimmy your set back into normalcy.

That is similar to the view of 1st base I had when watching the Aggies playing Cal State-Fullerton in June 1999 at the College World Series in Omaha. The Rosenblatt Stadium roof support pole was right in front of me and I had to peek around it to see the plays at 1st base.histag10 said:
