I understand the logic of this, but on a dropped 3rd strike that pulls the first baseman to the orange bag it says the runner "would" use the white bag. Is the runner obligated to figure out where the throw is pulling the first baseman? And what if it's a little dribbler in front of the plate that the catcher fields instead of a dropped strike and his throw to first is on the orange base side?
Did we have a runner called out recently for not running in the right path? I feel like yes... but I could be misremembering.trouble said:
