And neither the Rangers or Astros have won a single playoff series.

When The "DUCK" soon flies high soar vastly above all mankind with his financial genius, we will all have a huge contribution to make to the SISTER in support of her good works.

Et tu Jack Daniels?

Get out early Monday and save yourself! Remember that when the cow gives up buttermilk and azzholes fly tomato seeds will be the currancy standard for all society. Left Face, Harch!

Every single team in California and New York have either been to a World Series or won a World Series

And the Cub & Red Sox fans thought they had it bad!

the astros have the talent right now to win the world series, whether they do it or not is another question. it would be nice to see them bring in another big bat, preferably an outfielder.

The Astros don't have much talent. They had guys who were very talented five years ago. But they are dreadfully slow, play little defense, and don't have much power left. That spells mediocrity.

Hi Kellso, I'm coming to vacation in La Jolla in November for my anniversary an need some advice. But first, how does one become interested in Baylor athletics and stay interested in Baylor athletics, no offense.

your right their pitching staff is the worst in baseball and since pitching is what wins in the playoffs the astros are doomed to failure. the stros and rangers have both found out that once you get to the playoffs a potent offense means little to none.

If pitching is what wins in the playoffs, then why is it that Atlanta has won only ONE World Series when they've been in the playoffs every year for about the last 15 years?

Bottom line: You need both pitching and hitting in the playoffs.

Vegas Aggie,

I don't live in La Jolla anymore, though my parents still own their home out there. My family moved from Dallas to San Diego when i was in junior high. After I left Waco, I've been living in the LA area for the past few years while I've been in graduate school. I've been a Baylor fan since I was little. My mother went to Baylor undergrad and Baylor law and frankly I was tired of Cali and wanted to go to school in Texas.

This is a great time of the year to visit San Diego, and feel free to ask me any questions about cool stuf to see and do. Its an amazing city. Beautiful weather, women, and lot of access to outdoor activities.
If you have the time check out a Padre game at their beautiful new baseball stadium which is located downtown near the harbor. Petco is a big upgrade over Jack Murphy stadium. It was located in a residential neighboorhood in the middle of nowhere. I don't think Petco is as nice as Pac Bell buts its going for the same sort of feel by having the stadium near downtown right next to the ocean.
