All we heard for years with Childress is how much everyone hated his small ball game. We get Schloss who doesn't want to play small ball and all people want is to go back to small ball.

You just can't win sometimes haha

Let's see:

Doubled win total in Omaha history in 1 year.
Advanced to the Final 4 for the first time in program history.
Combined 7-0 in Regionals and Supers last year + this year to date.
Combined 15-5 in Hoover, Regionals, and Super last year + to date.

I reckon Coach has more than earned the right to make the call.

Especially given our lack of blazing speed among our starters (apologies to Werner)

I'm fine with Schloss' philosopsohy but this concept is moronic. Every kid that plays baseball learns to bunt, play pepper, etc. if you can swing and hit a baseball at the D1 level you damn sure are capable of bunting one.
