Rice finished 21-37. RPI #166. The Owls were awful again in 2023...year 2 of the Cruz jr. era

not sure what's going on there. Cruz jr.'s record is actually worse than Matt Bragga's

who by the way...went back to Tennessee Tech last year.

will be interesting to see if Schloss schedules Rice for 2 or 3 games again next season

Rice has zero bats.

One of my older son's coaches has a kid that plays for Rice. Allegedly the university no longer gives any admissions consideration to athletes. And this hampers their HS & transfer portal recruiting.

For a few weeks right around our last game with the Owls, they actually looked like they might put together a nice season. Not necessarily making a regional type season but a solid moving things in the right direction season.

Baylor, not sure what has happened to the Bears. I don't recall things ever being so bad for this long in Waco. I like Thompson but it being Baylor I can't say I'm pulling for him to turn things around.

The promising UTSA season fell apart once D1 Baseball placed them in their Top 25.

Does the Vandy Whistler show up to all the games? I'd like to watch Alabama v Vandy but mot sure I want to listen to the whistling.

The SECN guys certainly didn't think that locked it up. The older guy on the postgame set kept saying he thought Ok St needed to make the finals. But he's a lil biased toward SC getting that host spot.
