I for one am happy. I am happier when the Ags win. It's just a shame when we beat ourselves, coaching and playing.
I hate tu. It's in my blood.

Where were 75% of these posters all season? Don't trash players or coaches. This is baseball, weird things happen. Explain how the CWS champion from 2022 is dead last? Perhaps if all you doomdayers did not post such hurtful comments, the boys would relax and quit pushing to please y'all. Build them up, don't trash players. It is easy to be critical when you are not out there playing or coaching. BTHO MS. Thank you Aggie baseball for always trying.

I wish that rule was enforced more on TexAgs. Disparaging a student athlete is still listed on the reasons to be banned list. Yet it happens constantly.

Criticism is not trashing. I am seeing more criticism of coaching last night, which I think is deserved. Good coaches can have bad games and years, but hopefully don't lose it for good. I will say that bad pitching can cause all sorts of other bad things, coaching and playing. We are going to need to get some good pitching. If that doesn't happen no coach will win. And good coaches have to be good recruiters.

MagnumLoad said:Indeed. Schloss pulling Dettmer with two outs in the FIFTH INNING, up 7-2, was a crappy move. He also blew the LSU series. How in the heck was he so successful at TCU?W said:
with that much position player talent...
you don't need a great pitching staff...you barely need a good one or average one to make the field of 64
but the coaching staff blew it
Watched most all of them. I support them win or lose, for 69 years. But I will call screw ups as such. My criticisms on this thread have been directed at coaching.rathAG05 said:MagnumLoad said:Indeed. Schloss pulling Dettmer with two outs in the FIFTH INNING, up 7-2, was a crappy move. I swear guys like you haven't watched much of our team this season.
Did I ever tell you I love myself?BoerneGator said:
In this, the age of narcicism, too many posters think the rest of us need to hear their every thought, never mind the consequences, which most likely never even consider. It's a blight on the culture, but so long as the pop culture rewards and promotes it, we are doomed to endure it. Such is the nature of narcissists, in the era of "social media", where too many go to feed their need for attention. People say things here they would never say to someone's face.
I can see a similar post by you if Schloss left Dettmer in and he gave up a 3 run bomb.MagnumLoad said:Indeed. Schloss pulling Dettmer with two outs in the FIFTH INNING, up 7-2, was a crappy move. He also blew the LSU series. How in the heck was he so successful at TCU?W said:

Someone has to! And if not you, then who? I'm just honored you read my posts, Ed, even if you can't understand my vocabulary.
No I reserve that for posters like you grinder.BoerneGator said:
Btw, my post was in the context of posters criticizing players/Aggies by name; something I've never seen you do.
Hope you can sleep like a normal human tonight...TempleAg97 said:
I don't disagree with any of that. I am a season ticket holder and never miss a weekend game. I couldn't sleep until about 3am. I told my wife "I can't help it but I care too much".
My point is that Schloss has been to the CWS SIX times and been national coach of the year three times. And it's not like a potential Jimbo thing where it can factually be said "well that was a decade ago". I was able to spend nine glorious days in Omaha last year watching exactly half of our CWS victories accumulated in the last 100 years. And it's mainly because of Schloss. He's a baseball genius/savant,
I think anything and everything that could possibly go wrong this year has gone wrong and we are still just a win last night from being on the right side of the postseason.
It started with the catcher from Cincinnati retiring too late to get a similar replacement. That was a massive blow. Then Minnich dove into first base and broke his hand in the 2nd inning of the first game.
100 different things where if even one goes our way, we are still fine, like that stupid slide by Wells that cost us beating Auburn. You think if he just slides like a normal human being and the Ags sweep Auburn, the rest of the season plays out like this? And even if yes, we would still already be at 13 wins.
Agh. At any rate, they'll be 8 months for wailing and gnashing of teeth after next week. Here's to a miracle saving of this season tonight, tomorrow, and next week!
