I don't know if we have a definitive look because the angle is behind the fielder. But the throw seemed to beat him by a good bit.

I know the analytics now say not to and I prefer hitting away, but if you're proficient at it and can put runners in motion it can be lots of fun. And manufacturing a run or two late like right there is sometimes a huge difference in win probability. What I really dislike is not practicing at it and asking guys that are no good or out of practice to do it in a critical situation when you've not done it all year.

As it engineer it's extremely counterintuitive but hot and humid is supposed to make the ball carry further too.
