The Ags will figure it out. Stand strong folks and support the team.

I get the frustration (I'm not happy) but same thing happened last year and the boys pulled together and figured it out.

We have a lot of the same guys still on this team, they know what it takes to pull out of it because they've done it before.

the issue is that due to the conferences they play in...

unlikely that Lamar and Portland will have top 100 RPI's...and in Portland's case maybe not even top 150

Congrats to Portland for winning 3 out 4 last weekend vs Utah Tech (No, I did not make up this school).

Congrats to Lamar for sweeping Oakland of Michigan on opening weekend and finishing 2nd in the WAC Eastern Division last year ahead of UTRGV, Abilene Christian, Tarleton St., and SFA.

Baseball is not a game you go undefeated in. Got that and it is absolutely true. Losing a game isn't the issue. Three stinkers in a row against lower level competition is the concern where the bats were dead and the bullpen was bad in all of them.

Really disappointing run here, but an opportunity to turn to around tomorrow.

They have to gel they'll get it figured out. I like finishing stronger better coming out on fire look what happened to Tennessee last year.

the Portland staff has walked 13 hitters and hit 2 batters in the first 2 games.

given up 15 free baserunners to A&M.

that's not a sign of a very good pitching staff

Look. We're hot garbage right now and that's never acceptable given the program's resources. Of course we expect them to turn it around, and probably they will at some point, but to come out so flat in a long home series to open the season is deflating as hell. Arguably there are only a few guys on the entire roster seizing their opportunities at the moment. If we had to cut a player after every loss we might look a smidge more motivated. As it is free game tickets abound and enthusiasm for the team is waning. Facts.

The toughness, leadership and fortitude of Claunch, Rock, Dallas and Palisch is sorely missed. The returning players were great at following that gritty group. Can they muster some of their own without them and get this team out of this funk. Last years team never lost back to back games.

I did not say otherwise but considering what Schloss accomplished his first season at A&M one would think he earned a respite from the weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth despite the less than ideal start to the season.

WW&G is what we do after 3 losses, it shows we care.
But as a more serious note - was it really a good sign when Schloss moved a fish to clean up?
I thought so at first because I thought we had a killer, but now I'm getting worried that pitchers are not giving our third hitter a decent look because they have no fear of our clean up hitter. This will change, but how long is it going to take?
